Welcome
Dear Guest

Expatriate-taxation.com specializes in the assistance of English or French speaking Professionals working in Germany for their German tax obligations. All my clients have degrees in management or engineering from renown universities and are working either in the management or are engineers of multinational companies. There is one thing, which all of my clients have in common: the company does not (yet) take care of their tax compliance in Germany.

German income taxes have the reputation to be very high. This is correct for the nominal income tax rates, especially there is no special expatriate tax regime available. However, there is this general principle in international taxation that high taxes are accompanied by very generous possibilities for deductions.

For example, British taxes are said to be very low. Otherwise, have you heard that you may deduct your flights home from your British tax base? You may not, but in Germany you may under the “Double-House-Hold-Regime”. There are – under certain requirements - a few other very important deductions available which may take your German tax burden to a level which is comparable to the British or American burden.
